ASU Receives NASA Grant to Promote Aeronautics Safety

Arizona State University received a $670,000 grant from NASA to help promote the health and safety of the nation’s aeronautics community. NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, Aviation Safety Program, awarded the grant for work on a proposal titled “An Integrated Vehicle Health Management Approach to Heterogeneous Structural Systems.”

NASA officials say the award will foster collaboration among researchers at NASA, industry, academia and other government agencies. The research will focus on the ways vehicles are designed, built, operated and maintained.
